I want to watch Movies & Shows on this computer
Option A: The Easy Way (Browser)
No installation needed. Just click and watch.
Go to the main Dashboard and click the large Stream Media card.
Log in with your Bottubbles Username and Password.
Click on the Movie or Show poster you want to watch.
Click the green Play button.
Option B: The Best Way (App)
Better quality, smoother video, supports surround sound.
Download "Jellyfin Media Player" for Windows or Mac.
Click here to downloadOpen the program. Click Add Server and paste this address:
Log in with your username and password.
Click on the Movies or TV Shows library.
Select a poster and click the Play button.
I want to watch on my Smart TV or Phone Works on Roku, Fire Stick, Android TV, Apple TV, iOS, and Android.
Go to the App Store on your device and search for "Jellyfin".
Install the app that looks like this icon:
Open the app. It will ask for a Server. Type this exactly:
Enter your username and password.
Use your remote (or finger) to select the Movies or TV Shows library.
Select a movie and press Play.
I want to ask for a Movie/Show you don't have Don't see what you want? Ask the robot to find it.
On the main screen, click the card that says Locate Media.
Click the search bar at the top and type the name of the movie or show.
Click the picture of it, then click the blue button that says Request.
Check back in 30 minutes to 1 hour.
If it is not there in 24 hours, or if the wrong movie was downloaded, Message Me and I will try to fix it as soon as I can.
I want to download a movie/show/game locally Use this like a USB stick on the internet.
Click the Cloud Storage card on the Dashboard.
Log in with your Bottubbles Username and Password.
(It is the same one you use for this site).
Navigate to the file you want.
Click the three dots (...) next to it and select Download.
The video is buffering (Spinning Circle) If your internet is slow, do this:
Click the "Gear" icon on the video player and lower the Quality to "720p" or "480p".
ADVANCED GUIDES
Have a Nextcloud folder directly on your PC This creates a magic folder on your computer that automatically syncs everything.
Download the Nextcloud Desktop Client for Windows or Mac.
Official Download PageRun the installer. When it asks for the Server Address, copy and paste this:
A browser window will open. Click Log In and approve the access.
Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
Look for the Nextcloud folder on the left sidebar (with a green checkmark).
Any file you put here will appear in the cloud automatically!
⚠️ Note: You have a storage limit of 1GB.
Get the Cloud App on iPhone or Android Access your files on the go.
Search the App Store or Play Store for "Nextcloud" and install it.
Open the app and click Log In.
Enter the Server Address:
Log in with your Bottubbles username and password.
You can now browse and upload files from your phone.
Use Plex Instead of Jellyfin If you prefer the Plex interface. Note: The mobile app costs $5, but TV/PC is free.
Go to Plex.tv and create a Free Account.
Message the Admin with your Username OR Email Address.
The admin must manually invite you to the server.
Check your email (or Plex notifications) for an Invite from Bottubbles. Accept it.
Inviting a Guest (Admin Only) Create a temporary account for a friend.
Go to the Admin Panel.
Look for the "Game Night Access" card.
Click Create Temp User.
It will generate a safe username and password. (Expires in 4 hours)
To delete the user manually, find their name in the User Management list and click the Trash Icon.
